Too much to do, too little time
I just finished rewriting my stepson's resume for his application to the fire department and rewriting my husband's bio for his work website. I still have some marking to do that I suspect will once again be undone. My neck hurts and I am tired. I want to write about Serenity, but haven't a clue how to say what I want to say. And my new Diana Galbadon Outlander novel has arrived, which makes me giddy with delight, but it is HUGE, which makes the prospect of reading in the bathtub a bit daunting.
In other news, this last weekend was unbelievably beautiful. We went out in the boat on Saturday and spent a perfect night out. On the way back to the marina, everything was wreathed in a blue haze of early fall. My soul was happy.

I'm reading the first in the series (at your recommendation) right now! Very large. And lots of sex!
So far the alternating viewpoint hasn't shown up. I'm guessing that will happen in a later book? The problem is, I don't know if I can read another book. I do like it, but I can't just get through it in a day and move on like I can with YA novels.
As I recall, the alternating viewpoint doesn't start until the second or maybe even third novel. She uses it extensively in novels 4 and 5.
Yes, it's a huge commitment to read DG! But I lurrrrrrrrve them!
I'm glad you had a good weekend, and a beautiful night on the boat, as I'm guessing the sailing season must be ending soon.
Did your step-son go to school to be a fire-fighter? Fred is wanting to do firefighting/paramedic work, and we're trying to figure out the best tack to take.
Matt is in the Navy. He spent some time talking to our fire chief and was told that the training he could get there was the equivalent of any college course he could take, so he opted to get paid for 3 years instead of paying out.
Fred might want to do an informational interview with a fire offical to find out what tack would be best for him.
I hear ya. The beautful early fall weather has even reached us here in SoCal - and with the evenings slipping into a slight chill... it makes everything seem a bit better.
